“Ahsoka” Season 2 Now A Possibility

In the wake of the finale of “Ahsoka” yesterday, talk has turned towards what happens next. The series ended with multiple plot threads open, almost a cliffhanger of sorts, and sets things up that will need to be answered.

How they will be answered is what’s not certain. The final episode gave no hint at a second season and Dave Filoni’s Mandoverse film, whilst in development, still seems like an idea many years off.

Now, Deadline is reporting that a second season of “Ahsoka” is looking like “more of a reality in the conversation, though nothing is locked yet”.

The outlet indicates that development of a second season seems to be in the works, but the combination of strikes have “put off production for some time” which is why there haven’t been any formal announcements about where things will go.

The open-ended season finale has received mixed reviews with criticism about the show’s writing with calls for the next season to include other voices besides Filoni (who penned the entire season).

The entire season of “Ahsoka” is now live and any possible second season would follow at least four live-action Star Wars series that are already complete or in the midst of production including “Skeleton Crew,” “The Acolyte,” a second season of “Andor” and a fourth season of “The Mandalorian”.
