“Ahsoka” Moved Up To Tuesday Nights

Lucasfilm

Disney+ has announced a change to its release strategy for “Star Wars” series, starting with “Star Wars: Ahsoka” next week.

Instead of premiering at midnight US-PT/3am US-ET on Wednesdays, new episodes of “Star Wars: Ahsoka” will kick off on Tuesday nights from August 22nd.

Specifically, episodes will launch at 6pm US-PT/9pm US-ET so North American fans will be able to watch them at a reasonable evening hour.

Meanwhile, early reactions for the first few episodes are rolling out across social media with plenty of praise for its actors and good impressions, but also suggest issues with pacing.

Germain Lussier at io9 says: “I think #Ahsoka has a lot of potential. As a Rebels fan, I felt a connection to it that was truly special. And yet it’s hugely epic at some times & oddly flat at others. Sabine is the standout through & by Ep 2 I was fully sucked in. It could go south but I don’t think it will.”

All reviews confirm it’s very much a “Star Wars Rebels” sequel with some questioning how it will play for those unfamiliar with that animated series.

Meanwhile, the first clip from the series has also been released and can be seen below.
