MGM/United Artists Releasing’s CG animated “The Addams Family” sequel is bypassing a theatrical only release and will now arrive day-and-date on PVOD for $19.99 as well.
The title will launch October 1st and the shift is in response to many cinemas requiring vax cards for entry due to the rising Delta variant, combined with the fact that kids are still unvaccinated for COVID-19.
This gives families the option of staying home and follows in the wake of MGM/UA doing the same last year with “Bill & Ted Face the Music” which made a profit thanks to PVOD revenue. The first “Addams Family” CG film grossed $203.7 million worldwide.
