Strange Weather Films has acquired the supernatural thriller pitch “Blackpine” which Cory Goodman (“Apollo 18,” “Priest”) will pen reports Deadline.
The story follows a soldier returning from Afghanistan to his mining community hometown where he plans to raise his 12-year-old daughter.
When his daughter goes missing, he launches into a frantic search to find her and uncovers a conspiracy within the town with a ghostly twist.
Andrew Adamson and Aaron Warner will produce, no director is yet attached. Shooting is slated to take place in New Zealand.
