Adam Driver “Fantastic 4” Rumor Emerges

Netflix

Following his breaking of the news of Harrison Ford being cast as General Thunderbolt Ross in “Captain America: New World Order” and “Thunderbolts,” Jeff Sneider has revealed another Marvel casting rumor.

Speaking on The Hot Mic Podcast, The Ankler’s Jeff Sneider says that he’s heard that Adam Driver had a meeting with Marvel Studios this summer over the role of Reed Richards in the “Fantastic Four” feature.

Sneider mentioned that he had also heard Driver previously rumored for the Doctor Doom role as well. As he’s quick to point out though, this report came not from a regular source for him and so take this as much more of a rumor than the more verified Ford casting report a few weeks back.

“WandaVision” helmer Matt Shakman is set to direct the film which was recently delayed to February 2025. Fan favorite John Krasinski played a version of Reed Richards in a cameo in this year’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.

Other names like Netflix leading men Penn Badgley (“You”) and Tom Ellis (“Lucifer”) have also come into the speculation mix in recent weeks.
