Lucasfilm has released a new 45-second TV spot for the third season of its “Star Wars” spin-off “The Mandalorian” which returns this Wednesday, March 1st.
The new clip shows off plenty of action from the new run from a squad of Mandalorians blasting around some red desert landscape on their jetpacks, to Mando & Grogu in a fighter trying to evade multiple TIE Interceptors.
Marking the second series this year with Pedro Pascal as a surly surrogate daddy type, the new season sees Din Djarin attempting to reclaim his Mandalorian identity.
Other returnees this year include Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan along with Omid Abtahi, Emily Swallow, and Amy Sedaris.
New to the series this season are Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows who have joined in undisclosed roles. The new run comes ahead of both “Star Wars: Ahsoka” and “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series both due out later this year whilst a fourth “Mandalorian” season is already written.
The third season’s directors include returning filmmakers Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, and Bryce Dallas Howard, along with Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari”), Peter Ramsey (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”), and “Black Panther” cinematographer Rachel Morrison.
Jon Favreau serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck.
