Final orders are due and still more network TV series saw their fate determined today with multiple shows getting the chop whilst others landed renewals.
ABC has been generous, handing out renewals for fifth seasons of “The Conners” and “A Million Little Things” along with a third for “Home Economics” and a second for “The Wonder Years”. ABC’s various unscripted fare like “The Bachelor” and “American Idol” among others have also been renewed.
NBC was also kind, giving Dwayne Johnson-produced comedy “Young Rock” a third season order and its freshman sitcom “American Auto” a second. FOX on the other hand swung the axe hard on its two freshman series “Our Kind of People” and “Pivoting”.
Finally, Comedy Central has handed out a third season order for Awkwafina’s sitcom “Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens”.
These all follow on from yesterday’s massacre in which fifteen series got the chop, a day already being compared to the “Game of Thrones” infamous ‘Red Wedding’ event.
