ABC has officially announced “The Disney Family Singalong,” a one-hour TV musical event which will feature a celebrity lineup that includes Grammy winner Christina Aguilera, Josh Gad (“Frozen”), Luke Evans (“Beauty and the Beast”), Kristin Chenoweth (“Tinkerbell”) and Auli’i Cravalho (“Moana”).
Scheduled to premiere on Thursday April 14th, Ryan Seacrest hosts this “magical night of karaoke” with remote performances from celebrities along with their families as they’ll be taking on their favorite Disney songs from their homes.
The special will also include an animated character that will guide the audience to sing along through the on-screen lyrics and will cover iconic songs from “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story,” “Moana,” “Frozen” and “High School Musical”.
Michael Buble, Jordan Fisher, Little Big Town, Kenny Ortega, Donny Osmond, Thomas Rhett, Amber Riley, John Stamos, Erin Andrews, and Bobby Bones will also appear
Over on AMC, that network is partnering with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife Hilarie Burton for a new talk series entitled “Friday Night In with the Morgans”.
The talk show is set to premiere next Friday and will see the couple resting safely in their home of Mischief Farm in upstate New York as they steer conversations via video-chat about how they and their guests are coping with the global pandemic and how they are helping out during this period of isolation around the globe.
Sarah Wayne Callies, Christian Serratos, Mark Duplass, Jensen Ackles are among the guest stars set to appear in the series. “Friday Night In With the Morgans” is set to premiere on AMC on Friday, April 17th.
