ABC has handed out an order for seven additional episodes of its new cop dramedy series “The Rookie,” bringing the total to twenty episodes making it a full season.
“Castle” star Nathan Fillion leads the show which has not been a breakout hit but has improved the network’s ratings in that timeslot – up 84% vs. last fall. In Live+7 ratings for the premiere, the show drew an average audience of 9.7 million viewers and a 1.8 rating.
ABC’s “A Million Little Things” and “Single Parents” have also scored full season orders, but “The Kids Are Alright” has yet to get one beyond their initial thirteen-episode order.
