A24 is reportedly working on a film adaptation of author Ocean Vuongs 2019 novel “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous”.
The story explores the life of Little Dog, a first-generation Vietnamese-American immigrant. The story goes into the lives of his mother and grandmother, the legacy of the Vietnam War, and Little Dog’s romance with a white man in Hartford, Connecticut.
The company’s official podcast revealed the information where Vuong was talking with Bryan Washington, an author whose own debut novel “Memorial” was picked up as a limited series by A24 back in October.
