Following a very strong weekend opening for “A Quiet Place: Part II,” Paramount Pictures has set a March 31st 2023 release date for a third entry in the franchise.
“Mud” and “Take Shelter” director Jeff Nichols will take over from John Krasinki as director, with a story based on an idea by Krasinski.
Nichols reportedly handed in the script for the new installment a few days ago with rumors being that it will explore a different part of the same world of the two previous films – broadening the scope of the film.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Krasinski are producing. The first film grossed a rather healthy $58 million over the Memorial Day weekend.
