“A Quiet Place: Part II” Heads For $60M Start

John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place Part II,” the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2018 global hit, popped up on short-term tracking figures on Thursday.

Right now, the film is on track for a projected opening of $60 million – easily ahead of the $50.2 million opening weekend of the first film which ultimately went on to gross $341 million globally.

Evelyn (Emily Blunt), daughter Regan, son Marcus and baby now face the terrors of the outside world in the new film. This family is forced to venture into the unknown, and they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond their farm.

“A Quiet Place Part II” is scheduled to open in wide release on March 20th. Tickets went on sale today and you can check out a first clip below:
