Ali Wong (“American Housewife,” “Chelsea Lately”) is set to star opposite Tiffany Haddish in Netflix’s ten-episode animated comedy series “Tuca & Bertie”.
Created by Lisa Hanawalt (“BoJack Horseman”), the animated comedy deals with the friendship between two thirty-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca (Haddish), a cocky, care-free toucan, and Bertie (Wong), an anxious, daydreaming songbird.
Haddish, Wong, Hanawalt, Steven A. Cohen, Noel Bright and Raphael Bob-Waksberg executive produce. The animation is being done at Shadowmachine.
