AMC has announced that they are opening writer’s rooms for three new projects which are all under consideration for potential series orders.
Using the non-pilot model that has yielded both the recent “The Son” and the upcoming “Lodge 49,” scripts for several episodes and a detailed look at a potential first season will be drawn up for each show before the network decides whether to move to a straight-to-series order.
The three shows are “NOS4A2” from Jami O’Brien (“Hell on Wheels”), “Pandora” from Sam Vincent & Jonathan Brackley (“Humans”) and “Silent History” from Claire Carre & Charles Spano (“Embers”).
“NOS4A2” is based on Joe Hill’s novel about a young woman with a secret gift for finding things reluctantly pulled into tracking down a superhuman child killer. “Pandora” is a global mystery-thriller that follows three converging storylines in the wake of advanced malware dismantles encryption across the Internet. “Silent History” follows the birth of a generation of children born without the ability to create or comprehend language.
