“The Bible” producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey are developing the scripted religious drama entitled “Messiah” for Netflix.
Currently in very early development stages, the modern day-set story deals with the world’s reaction to a man who appears to be performing miracles in the Middle East.
Burnett, Downey and Andrew Deane will executive produce. Michael Petroni (“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”) is the creator of the series and executive producer.
