Aussie pop star Iggy Azalea’s Azalea Street Productions label has optioned the film rights to Temple Mathews’ novel “Bad Girl Gone” to be published this summer.
The story centers on a recently deceased girl who must solve her own murder in order to escape purgatory. In the process, she struggles between a relationship she left behind in the real world and one she’s developed in the in-between.
Azalea, Patrick Hughes and Brendan Deneen will produce. Azalea recently signed a first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios to develop reality TV series and high-end scripted fare.
