The newest promo for NBC’s DC Comics-inspired comedy “Powerless” has arrived and revealed that Alan Tudyk’s character has undergone a name change.
Originally he was slated to play Del Heller, the well-suited insurance manager who runs the office. Now it seems the “Firefly” and “Rogue One” actor will instead play Van Wayne, a cousin of Bruce Wayne who runs Wayne Security.
In the comics there was one issue from back in 1962 which suggested a cousin named Vanderveer Wayne, but there’s no explanation for him.
“Powerless” will debut on NBC on February 2nd.
