“Teen Wolf” creator Jeff Davis is reteaming with Andrew Cochran on a new TV series adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic “War of the Worlds” for MTV.
First published in 1897, Wells’ tale is one of the earliest stories to explore a conflict between man and extraterrestrial and has been adapted multiple times via radio, features and on TV – the most recent being the Tom Cruise-led 2005 film.
Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry will produce. Davis is currently finishing up the sixth and final season of “Teen Wolf” for MTV and has a TV reboot of Swedish vampire novel “Let the Right One In” in development.
