Freddie Prinze Jr. is set to play a regular role in next season of Fox’s “24” says The Hollywood Reporter.
Prinze Jr. plays Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer’s footsteps.
Prinze Jr. joins fellow new cast additions Anil Kapoor as a Middle East leader, Chris Diamantopoulos as the president’s new chief of staff and John Boyd as a CTU systems analyst.
Jennifer Westfeldt was also recently cast in a recurring role as a journalist and Nazneen Contractor as Kapoor’s daughter.
Production kicked off yesterday on the eighth season which kicks off on-air in January.
