Sadly it looks as if the “Metal Gear Solid” film adaptation has been cancelled.
Producer Michael de Luca tells Collider that “I don’t think it’s going to move forward because I got the sense that there may not be enough of a coordinated will at this point on the side of certain parties to see a movie get made.”
The producer went into further detail, saying that due to the video game companies being very protective of their property and a studio requiring a certain amount of freedom to market and distribute a movie it was “just kind of impossible to get the agendas to match up.”
