Rosemarie DeWitt (“Rachel Getting Married”) has joined the cast of the romantic comedy “Earthbound” for The Film Department.
The story follows a woman (Kate Hudson) who learns she has been stricken with cancer before meeting a new guy (Gael Garcia Bernal).
The trade claims DeWitt will portray the best friend and confidante of Hudson’s character. Kathy Bates and Lucy Punch also star, Punch seemingly playing a similar role.
Nicole Kassell (“The Woodsman”) directs from a screenplay by Gren Wells. John Davis, Mark Gill, Robert Katz and Adam Schroeder are producing. Filming kicks off this month in Louisiana.
