“Arrested Development” executive producer Brian Grazer says that talks are under way with Netflix for the streaming service to do a second season (the fifth overall) of the cult comedy.
Speaking with Bloomberg yesterday, Grazer says: “We are in conversations with them to do another. They are interested in doing that.”
A 20th Century Fox Television rep declined comment, and reiterated that no deals are in place with the cast or producers for a return at this time.
This year’s fourth season, the first on Netflix, has proven to be the VOD service’s biggest hit – even more so than their high-profile drama series remake of “House of Cards”.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings previously expressed interest in doing more back in May, but the problem is mostly logistical – namely the availability of all the major cast members.
