Fede Alvarez’s first cut of his upcoming horror remake “Evil Dead” has received the dreaded NC-17 rating from MPAA.
Alvarez says: “Was proud of scoring a NC-17 when submitted! But we had to cut stuff out to get an R and get the film into theaters.”
The big question now is if the NC-17 cut will be made available when the film gets a disc release. “Evil Dead” opens in cinemas on April 12th.
