With word last week hitting that the “X-Men” character of Colossus will appear in next year’s “Deadpool” movie, the question was quickly raised – would Daniel Cudmore be reprising the role?
Cudmore has played the character in three “X-Men” films, including last year’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” however those appearances were little more than cameos – and near silent ones at that.
The role in “Deadpool” is expected to go in a different direction, so it comes as a disappointing but not unexpected surprise that the actor announced through his Twitter account this morning that he won’t be retuning:

No word yet as to potential candidates who might take on the role and spar with Ryan Reynolds’ titular wise-cracking mercenary.
