The FOX network has announced renewals of “Empire,” “Gotham” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”. “Empire” and “Gotham” will get second seasons, and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will get a third.
“Empire” has emerged as the No. 1 new series of the season and is the only new broadcast drama this season to grow from week one to week two. The series has averaged a 5.3 rating in its two broadcasts so far.
“Gotham” is this season’s No. 1 new series among Men 18-49 and has been averaging a 4.2 rating and 10.6 million viewers.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is averaging a 2.7 rating in the key demo and has seen a jump of 17% this season in that rating, the biggest year-to-year gain of any sophomore series.
