Jeff Trammell, creator of the Disney+ animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” says several more seasons of the series are on the way.

Speaking with Collider, Trammell confirms that work on at least two more seasons of the show is already in progress: “I don’t know what I can say, and no one’s stopping me, so I’m gonna say we’re already working on Seasons 3 and 4 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.”

Originally conceived as part of the MCU, the show instead is set in its own universe and thus can explore original stories that don’t impact the MCU’s plans.

The result is that the upcoming second season will see the introduction of Josh Keaton’s Eddie Brock, aka Venom, and the whole Symbiote storyline complete with a comic-accurate black suit.

Gwen Stacy, along with villains like The Lizard and The Rhino, will all appear in the new season, as well as the reveal that a key figure in Peter’s life is still alive.

Hudson Thames will reprise his role as Spider-Man with many of the original cast also returning including Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn and Charlie Cox as Daredevil.

“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on January 13th with subsequent seasons expected to be released annually.
