“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “Uncharted” star Tom Holland is set to lead the original film “Penthouse” at Sony Pictures.
Sony pre-emptively bought the project which is from an original idea by “Iron Man 3” and “The Fall Guy” scribe Drew Pearce.
The pair’s production companies, Billy17 and Point Of No Return respectively, will develop and produce the film, which will be a starring vehicle for Holland.
Described as a thriller, plot and character specifics are under wraps, so its tone is not clear. Speculation is already ranging from an all-audience action piece to an adult-skewing erotic one.
Pearce, who is also penning the upcoming “The Thomas Crown Affair” remake, is producing alongside Tom Holland, Harry Holland and Will South.
Holland’s first post-Brand New Day film is the Fred Astaire biopic co-starring Margaret Qualley, Sabrina Carpenter and Talia Ryder.
