Dread Central broke the news, saying the 33-year-old model turned actress has scored a major role in the film, but specifics of her character are under wraps.
Filming is currently underway, with shooting this week expected to take place in Morocco/. Actor Michael Johnston (“Obsession”) teased at the Academy Museum Gala over the weekend that he and co-stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are off to “film with the camels”.
John Hannah, Oded Fehr, and Kevin J. O’Connor co-star in the film, reprising their roles from the original movies, with the movie reportedly ignoring the events of “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” altogether.
Numan Acar also stars. Emad has built a career across Egyptian film and television, including the Arab version of “Suits” and the film “The Blue Elephant 2”.
Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are directing the project from a script by David Coggeshall. “The Mummy: Book of the Dead” opens in cinemas October 15th 2027.
