“Ted Lasso” wrapped its fourth season earlier this month, the series revived after Season 3 seemed to be the last a few years back.
While critics have been lukewarm on the new season, it seems to have rated well, and this time star and series co-creator Jason Sudeikis isn’t calling it an end.
Appearing on the podcast Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso recently, he was asked about the prospect of a potential fifth and even sixth season.
The actor says he “would like to” do more but “it takes a village,” though he “would assume” Apple would be open to more.
That said, there’s no serious progress on further seasons right now: “I just don’t know. We haven’t started a writers’ room or anything like that… I think it’d be fun.”
The series return in early August drew 296.6 million minutes in its first two days – the biggest series launch in Apple TV+ history.
