Multiple scoopers from ApocHorseman to DanielRPK are now claiming that the main shoot for “Avengers: Secret Wars” has been delayed again – from November to January 2027.
If true, that leaves the project with just 11 months in which to go from filming commencing to its planned release on December 17th 2027.
That would be far shorter than the 19-20 months films like “Avengers: Endgame” and this year’s “Avengers: Doomsday” have taken between their first day of filming and their release, and shorter than even the just under 12 months for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” at Sony Pictures.
Speculation has arisen that some filming may have already occurred during production of “Avengers: Doomsday” which began production back in April 2025. ‘Secret Wars’ is expected to boast an even larger cast and require more post-production.
Pervasive in comments on social media is concern that the schedule simply can’t be achieved and will result in “Avengers: Secret Wars” being pushed back to 2028 – possibly into the old “Avengers” home of early May.
However, at least one of the scoopers claims that release date delay was “not inevitable”.
