A24 has premiered the teaser trailer for “You Can See Everything,” the new documentary feature that just held a secret screening at the Telluride Film Festival.
Hot on the heels of that surprise, A24 announced the film would be released in cinemas in October and dropped this decidedly uncomfortable teaser.
Nathan Fielder (“The Rehearsal”) and Lance Oppenheim (“Primetime”) co-directed the doco about Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of the defunct and infamous health technology company Theranos.
The film crew was allowed to document her for nearly five weeks before she began serving a United States federal prison sentence for defrauding investors and wire fraud.
The filmmakers continue following Holmes over the course of the next three years, with the synopsis saying: “What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss”.
The clip gives us extreme close-ups of Fielder and Holmes’ faces as the pair are in close proximity, as she swears she’s being ‘real’ with Fielder, who sounds very sceptical.
