Hot off the recent announcement of her joining Marvel Studios as Rogue in the “X-Men” film, breakout “Obsession” actress Inde Navarrette has landed another project.
Navarrette is set to star in Apple Studios and Plan B’s sci-fi feature “The Waffle House Index” which Lois Paxton is slated to direct.
Andrew Nunnelly penned the film that follows a character named Jane who works the graveyard shift at a Waffle House. What begins as a regular day progressively gets worse and worse with one stormy apocalyptic event following another.
Nunnelly’s script landed on The Black List in 2025. The Waffle House Index is an actual measuring system that the U.S. federal emergency management agency (FEMA) uses to determine the severity of a natural disaster.
Navarrette will also serve as executive producer, the actress in high demand in Hollywood after “Obsession” became such a breakout hit.
Scooper Jeff Sneider first reported that the actress was up for the role a few weeks back on The Hot Mic, but it was only now confirmed by the trades today.
