Polish game developer Flying Wild Hog (“Trek to Yomi,” “Shadow Warrior”) has ambitious plans for the “Tomb Raider” franchise.
The company is working with Crystal Dynamics on the upcoming “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis,” a full-on remake of the original 1996 “Tomb Raider” due for release in February.
That title reimagines the 1996 game in Unreal Engine 5 with fresh visuals, skill trees, and an expanded Atlantis story.
Now, long-running French outlet PlayStationInside reports on X that according to a source within the company, they have already mapped out potential remakes of 1997’s “Tomb Raider II” and 1998’s “Tomb Raider III” as well.
This is even before the remake of the first hits, though whether such projects get a green light will likely depend upon the sales of ‘Legacy of Atlantis’.
The project is separate from the major new entry “Tomb Raider: Catalyst” which is due out in 2028 and serves as the furthest forward entry in the timeline to date – coming after “Tomb Raider: Underworld”.
