Disney Sets Pre-“Avengers: Doomsday” Watchlist

Marvel

Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” serves as the focal point for a multi-film saga that began not just with the MCU but years before, retconning in Marvel’s past efforts at 20th Century Fox as well.

As a result, Disney+ has highlighted 15 movies and shows that fans can revisit or check out for the first time in order to be prepared for the upcoming film

The line-up is interesting as it skips numerous notable entries in the MCU, with only a few pre-Endgame titles selected – two of which are the first two “X-Men” films.

Only one TV series makes the list: the twelve-episode “Loki,” which is understandable, given how central it is to the multiverse saga and Tom Hiddleston’s character is rumoured to be to ‘Doomsday’.

The list is as follows:
X-Men
X2
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Endgame
Loki
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Captain America: Brave New World
Deadpool & Wolverine
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Thunderbolts*
The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The list follows in the wake of a ‘Special Look’ trailer released during D23 the other day. While pre-sales figures for the film are huge, there’s also been criticism of the very green-screen and CG look of the trailers so far.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is set to open in cinemas on December 18th 2026.
