Disney and Lucasfilm have premiered the teaser trailer for the second season of its “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series.
Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen were on hand at D23 today alongside show creator and Lucasfilm CCO Dave Filoni to present the first footage from the new season which will come nearly four years after the first season released in 2023.
Dawson returns as the Jedi after debuting the popular animated character in live-action during “The Mandalorian”. As she is Padawan apprentice to the late Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), he returns here as a vision she sees (as well as in flashback), and it looks to be a more substantial role this season than his brief appearance in the first season.
The first season finale saw Baylan Skoll coming across statues of the Mortis gods, Ahsoka and Sabine stuck on Peridea and trying to find a way back to their own galaxy, and Grand Admiral Thrawn returning to the main “Star Wars” galaxy to wage war against the New Republic
Other returnees include Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Rory McCann taking over the role of Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.
“Ahsoka” is set for a January 20th 2027 premiere.
