Guilty Creatures
Lewis Pullman (“Thunderbolts*,” “Salem’s Lot”) will star alongside Julia Garner in the Apple TV series “Guilty Creatures” based on Mikita Brottman’s book. Stuart Zicherman (“American Sports Story”) is the showrunner.
The story looks at the torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers from Florida, unravelling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years. The Portrait of a Lady
Bill Nighy, Nell Tiger Free, Gemma Arterton, Jim Sturgess and Miranda Richardson are set to lead a new TV series adaptation of Henry James’ beloved novel “The Portrait of a Lady” for Masterpiece on PBS and the BBC. Filming has begun in the U.K., Hungary and Croatia.
Free Isabel Archer, a vivacious New World ingénue who leaves America for Old World Europe. She falls prey to two American ex-pat schemers: the elegant Madame Merle (Arterton) and the charming but calculating Gilbert Osmond (Sturgess). Nighy and Richardson play Mr. & Mrs. Touchett. [Source: THR]
Enigma Variations
Riley Keough (“Jay Kelly”), Devon Terrell (“Barry”), Nicholas Podany (“Ponies”) and Carl Clemons-Hopkins (“Hacks”) will join Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Alicia Vikander in the Netflix limited series “Enigma Variations” based on the bestselling novel by “Call Me By Your Name” author André Aciman.
Taylor-Johnson plays Paul, a man remade by the lovers who ignite and undo him across ten transformative years. Paul is sexually fluid and alternates between a male and a female partner. Amanda Kate Shuman serves as showrunner. [Source: Deadline]

French Canadian actress Sophie Nélisse (“Heated Rivalry”) has joined the Netflix TV series adaptation of the Carley Fortune novel “This Summer Will Be Different”. Shooting takes place on Prince Edward Island and Toronto later this summer.
