It was announced the other week, and now Tom Cruise himself is promoting tomorrow’s release of the new trailer for “Birdman” and “The Revenant” director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s new film “Digger” which stars Cruise.
The tease a few weeks ago showed a 20-second clip from the film at the tail end of a three-minute Tom Cruise Retrospective trailer.
Tomorrow’s release will be a proper trailer, and Cruise has posted a few seconds of footage from it along with photos of himself on the Warner Bros. lot launching the trailer for press ahead of time.
Cruise plays a powerful man trying to convince the world he’s its saviour – before widespread destruction caused by the catastrophic consequences of his own actions.
Shot on 35mm VistaVision with Emmanuel Lubezki lensing, the film also stars Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, and Jesse Plemons.
Inarritu co-wrote the screenplay with Nicolás Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris, the project marking his first English-language film in a decade.
“Digger” will screen only in cinemas from October 2nd.
