The third instalment in the Millie Bobby Brown-led Netflix film franchise “Enola Holmes” debuted on July 1st and reportedly racked up 20.7 million views in five days.
That makes it the most-watched title on Netflix during its launch week, but a slower start than its predecessor, which garnered the equivalent of 29.3 million views in a shorter three-day timespan. [Source: Variety]
Creature Commandos
The second season of DC Studios animated series “Creature Commandos” has been expanded from seven to ten episodes according to showrunner Dean Lorey on Instagram.
Lorey confirms that “G.I. Robot has a massive story” in the upcoming season, while David Harbour’s Eric Frankenstein has some scene-stealing comedy moments.
Untitled Britney Spears Project
“New Girl” creator Liz Meriwether will reportedly pen the script for the Britney Spears biopic in the works at Universal Pictures. The “Wicked” duo of director Jon M. Chu and producer Marc Platt are also on board.
The film is an adaptation of Spears’ revealing 2023 memoir “The Woman in Me” which sold 1.1 million copies in its first week. [Source: Page Six]

id Software’s Senior Gameplay Systems Programmer Michael Maynard has revealed on LinkedIn that “roughly 50% of the company was let go today” as part of Microsoft’s massive job cuts announced on Monday.
