Several familiar international names are set to join the cast of the Bradley Cooper-directed “Ocean’s Eleven” prequel at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The new additions include Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread,” “Old”), George MacKay (“1917,” “True History of the Kelly Gang”), Omar Sy (“Lupin,” “Jurassic World”), Lauren Ridloff (“The Walking Dead,” “Eternals”), and Jack Holden (“The Levelling,” “Ten Percent”).
The five join the already cast Cooper, Margot Robbie, Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro and Josh Gad in the comedic heist thriller which begins filming late July in Paris before moving to the South of France.
The project boasts a screenplay by Carrie Solomon, based on characters created by George Clayton Johnson & Jack Golden Russell, and is rumoured to be a prequel set around the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.
The film will follow Danny Oceans parents (Cooper, Robbie) while Moura will play the villain. Robbie and Tom Ackerley are producing.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari,” “Twister”) was previously attached to direct before Cooper took over.
