It has been a very busy week in gaming with Sony’s State of Play presentation, the Summer GamesFest Live broadcast and the Xbox Showcase. It’s not over yet either, with a new Nintendo Direct coming tomorrow.
Sandwiched between those major presentations over the weekend were a bunch of minor ones, including the Future Games Showcase, the PC Gaming Show, Wholesome Direct and IGN Live. Each of those had even more gameplay trailers to show off.
I’ve covered the three main showcases and some major individual titles the past few days, now comes a ‘best of the rest’ list of trailers for titles debuting at these smaller titles that are worth a look.
Notable titles include the time dilation sci-fi game “Exodus” starring Matthew McConaughey and from developer Archetype Entertainment which was founded by multiple former BioWare developers.
Also of note is a non-VR remake of “Arizona Sunshine,” a remake of GameCube classic “Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee,” some “Star Wars”-themed DLC for “Powerwash Simulator 2,” the “Alan Wake”-esque psychological horror RPG “The Pines,” and Jeff Troutman’s steampunk title “They Will Come”.
