Filming is continuing on the “Superman” follow-up, “Man of Tomorrow,” with new set photos and video emerging in the past few days of the actors at work.
Both David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult have been photographed in costume – Corenswet in his Superman outfit and Hoult donning Lex Luthor’s green powersuit – for scenes shot on the streets of Atlanta.
Fans have noted that Corenswet’s hair is slightly longer, the ‘S’ on his chest is slightly bigger this time around, and the actor himself looks a little different in the jawline.
Gunn also spoke a bit about the 100% practical Lex powersuit on Threads, saying it is “unbelievably mobile,” allowing Hoult a lot of flexibility to move. He also explained the glass dome, saying it’s “unbreakable Lexiglas,” which protects his head from attack.
Those who’ve seen the filming say the scene shows Superman giving Lex a beating in the middle of the street.
The story will see the pair set aside their differences and join forces to defend the planet against Brainiac (Lars Eidinger).
“Man of Tomorrow” will open in cinemas on July 9th.
