“Man of Tomorrow” Preps For External Filming

Warner Bros. Pictures

The first set photos from James Gunn’s “Superman” follow-up film “Man of Tomorrow” are expected to arrive shortly.

Video has been captured by DC fan accounts online of film trucks for the production and equipment reportedly being set up around Atlantic Station at the northwest section of Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia.

Some set decoration has also been spotted, including a Jitters Coffee sign. Shooting on the project began about five weeks ago at nearby Trilith Studios in Fayetteville.

Earlier this week, actor Frank Grillo indicated he’s completed filming his scenes in Atlanta, the actor reprising his role of Frank Grillo Sr., who is said to have a big part in the new film. Grillo is expected to be back for filming in the UK which will take place later in the shoot.

The film also stars David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Superman), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), Lars Eidinger (Brainiac), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Aaron Pierre (John Stewart), Matthew Lillard, Sinqua Walls and Adria Arjona (Maxima or Wonder Woman).

The potential reveal comes just as filming got underway on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman Part II” on Friday. Photos and video emerged a little over a week ago of rehearsals/second unit filming, with new shots of the cast expected to emerge in the near future.
