“007: First Light” Opening 13 Minutes Clip

IO Interactive

IO Interactive has released a new video showcasing the first 13 minutes of gameplay from the spy action-thriller game “007: First Light”.

Physical copies of the game leaked to some users before the official release and rather than wait, the developer opted to release a bunch of footage from the game’s Iceland-set opening mission.

In the mission, a young James Bond survives a helicopter crash (which gives him his facial scar) and participates in a rescue operation for eighteen scientists and engineers currently being held hostage by a well-armed group of mercenaries.

Powered by the same Glacier engine that does the acclaimed “Hitman” games, the game follows the famous spy during his time in the MI6 training program.

The developers are actively encouraging everyone to avoid online spoilers to preserve the experience of playing the game on their own.

Review codes weren’t sent out until May 22nd – four days before the title begins its early access rollout on May 26th.
