Marvel TV Chief On The Success Of “She-Hulk”

When it comes to the pop culture wars, there’s the online sphere (especially social media platforms like X and certain video channels on YouTube) and actual real life – two arenas that often differ considerably.

A good example of this is Marvel Television’s Tatiana Maslany-led “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” which was roundly lambasted on social media by the manosphere and anti-woke digital mobs despite getting good critical reviews.

Now, Marvel Television exec Brad Winderbaum has given a lengthy chat with the Escape Pod podcast has shot down the myth that all the bashing the show got had an impact on its actual viewing numbers. He tells the outlet:

I love ‘She-Hulk.’ I’d love to make more ‘She-Hulk’. I mean, I’ll tell you this about ‘She-Hulk.’ That’s one of our best-performing shows. It just hit the general audience.”

Such an impact can be seen with “Daredevil: Born Again” whose first season had some of Marvel’s worst viewership numbers, even as it was all over social media.

Much more impactful for “She-Hulk” on its second season chances is the show’s cost, which was previously said to be considerable and something Marvel is shying away from with its TV efforts going forward.

Winderbaum also confirmed a second season of “Marvel’s Zombies” is in the works, and there have been discussions about developing an animated film for the big screen but they haven’t settled on the right property/character as yet.
