Paramount Pictures has released a ‘one year out’ concept teaser for the currently in production “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” which will open this time next year.
In addition, the film’s full cast has been announced with basically everyone returning including Jim Carrey as the villainous Dr. Robotnik, Lee Majdoub as his devout assistant Agent Stone, and James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Sonic’s adopted family.
Voice cast wise we also have Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Keanu Reeves as Shadow.
New to the franchise will be Kristen Bell as the voice of Amy Rose along with Sir Ben Kingsley, and a trio of comedy legends – Matt Berry (“What We Do In the Shadows”), Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”) and Richard Ayoade (“The IT Crowd”).
So far Bell’s role is the only one of the newcomers to have been revealed. “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” is set for a March 19th 2027 release.
Paramount also has an untitled ‘Sonic Universe Event Film’ scheduled for December 22nd 2028.
