The Altruists
Hudson Williams (“Heated Rivalry”), Jennifer Grey (“Dirty Dancing”), Terry Chen (“Almost Famous”), Elizabeth Adams (“Wayward”), Hannah Galway (“The Institute”) and William Mapother (“Lost”) have joined the cast of the limited series “The Altruists” at Netflix.

The eight-episode series tells the story of Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle) who founded the FTX cryptocurrency exchange and was convicted of fraud in late 2023. Julia Garner, Eugene Young, Madison Hu, Karan Soni and Matt Rife also star. [Source: Deadline]

The Lincoln Lawyer
Cobie Smulders has been promoted to a series regular, while Diane Guerrero, Patty Guggenheim, Corbin Bernsen, Chris Diamantopoulos, Teresa Maria, Richard Cabral, Steve Howey and Iker Garcia have landed recurring roles in the fifth season of Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer”.

The fifth season will consist of 10 episodes, inspired by the seventh book in Michael Connelly’s series “Resurrection Walk”. The season sees Smulders’ Emi, Mickey’s half-sister, come to him with a plea to help free a wrongfully convicted woman up on a six-year-old murder conviction. [Source: Deadline]

The White Lotus
Chloe Bennet (“Agents of SHIELD”), Max Greenfield (“The Neighborhood”), Kumail Nanjiani (“Only Murders in the Building”), Charlie Hall (“The Sex Lives of College Girls”) and Jarrad Paul (“Free Bert”) have scored recurring roles in the fourth season of HBO’s “The White Lotus” that will film in France.

Sekiro: No Defeat
Crunchyroll has debuted the trailer for the anime series “Sekiro: No Defeat,” a TV series remake of the 2019 “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” game by FromSoftware. Set in feudal Japan, a shinobi warrior embarks on a quest through the restless land to rescue his kidnapped lord. The film is currently slated for a theatrical release in Japan and will release later this year everywhere else through Crunchyroll.
