Amazon has premiered the first trailer for the John Krasinski-led “Jack Ryan: Ghost War” movie which will release exclusively on the service on May 20th.
Paramount Pictures and Skydance are backing the movie, which comes in the wake of the four-season series on Amazon Prime Video that premiered in 2018.
When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers, his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and its allies.
There are multiple returnees from the series, including Krasinski as CIA Jack Ryan, Wendell Pierce as his mentor James Greer, Michael Kelly as the enigmatic Mike November, and Betty Gabriel as CIA Director Elizabeth Wright.
Joining them are Sienna Miller, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild. The film is being directed by Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on Season 2.
Andrew Bernstein is directing the film from a script penned by Aaron Rabin and Krasinski. Krasinski, Andrew Form and Allyson Seeger are producing. The project was shot in Dubai.
