Netflix and Will Ferrell have unveiled a first-look concept teaser for “The Hawk,” the comedian’s new pro-golf comedy series, releasing this Summer.
In the series, Lonnie Hawkins (Ferrell), 2004’s number one golfer, struggles in the latter stages of his career to recapture his glory days. His ex-wife and his son Lance, golfing’s new golden boy, know he’s through.
But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in the sport’s history.
Joining Ferrell in the series are Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby.
Executive producers include Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Alix Taylor, Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodriguez, Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest.
The series will reportedly have the participation of The PGA Tour.
