Mansa Studios has premiered the official trailer for the psychological thriller “Newborn” starring Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo.
The story follows Chris Newborn (Oyelowo), who, after serving seven years in solitary confinement, seeks to rebuild his life and reconnect with his family.
Soon enough, he finds that freedom has become a terrifying psychological battleground as his trauma and inner struggles manifest in terrifying ways.
Also starring are Olivia Washington as Tara, Barry Pepper as Hersh, Jimmie Fails as Keith, Thomas Cadrot as Derek, Rukiya Bernard as Ella, Aiden Stoxx as Jake, Naomi Simpson as Annie.
Nate Parker (“Baselines,” “The Birth of a Nation”) pens and directs the film which he, Oyelowo, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Christina Lee Storm produce.
“Newborn” is set to debut exclusively at AMC Theatres on April 10th.
