Amazon MGM Studios has announced that the first trailer for the upcoming live-action “Masters of the Universe” film will go online tomorrow.
Ahead of that, they’ve released a special 30-second teaser for the clip, one mostly about evoking the 1980s time period of the original cartoon before showing off a few shots from the new film.
In the footage, we get glimpses of Nicholas Galitzine’s Adam, his sword, the Eternia landscape, Idris Elba’s Man at Arms, Battle Cat, Camila Mendes’ Teela and potentially Kristen Wiig as Roboto.
In the film, ten-year-old Adam Glenn (Galitzine) crash-lands on his mother’s home planet Earth, separating him from his ancestor’s Power Sword of Grayskull. Two decades later, he takes his sword back and bears on the mantle of He-Man as he battles for his home planet, Eternia, against the evil forces of Skeletor (Jared Leto).
The film also stars Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
Amazon MGM Studios, Escape Artists and Mattel Films will release the film in cinemas on June 5th 2026.
